NMC committee meetings are open to all registered NMC Annual Meeting attendees. Generally, committee members are seated at the table and visitors are seated on the extra chairs set in the room. Visitors are welcome to participate in committee discussion; however, only committee members are allowed to vote. In addition, the committee chair reserves the right to hold an “executive session,” which includes only committee members.
NMC members are encouraged to get involved in the organization by serving on a committee. All NMC members in good standing are eligible to serve. Individuals may serve on a maximum of two committees at the same time. Committee chairs make recommendations to the board of directors for individuals to serve on committees. The board approves all committee appointments. If you are interested in serving on a committee, you should contact the committee chair at the meeting or contact the NMC office.
